The Johnson Creek High School Band attended UW-Madison Band Day Saturday, September 27, 2014. Hundreds of High Schools from Wisconsin were invited to play during half time of a Wisconsin Badger football game. Our High School Alum, Cara Argus, is in her third year in the UW-Marching band, playing the mellophone (marching french horn) and was the reason we were invited. The students were very excited to attend Band Day as for some of them, it was their first experience to play in front of 75,000 people. The Badgers beat the University of South Florida 27-10. After the game we stayed for fifth quarter which is a time honored tradition of the marching band where they play fun songs like the Chicken Dance and Time Warp. The students had a wonderful musical experience and showed their Wisconsin Pride!
