Welcome!
On behalf of the school board, administrators, and staff, I want to welcome you to our new blog as well as to a new school year. This blog will be an additional way to keep up with what is going in our district.
This school year is going to be an exciting year with many new changes. I am excited to announce that we will have over 275 new Chromebooks being used in our classrooms, allowing all students 4th - 8th grade to have one-to-one technology in the classroom. Students in grades 9 - 12 will be nearly one-to-one, including access to multiple computer labs.
Our middle school curriculum is also new this year. Focus will be on the core content courses (Math, Literacy, Science, and Social Studies), allowing our district to continue to exceed expectations for state requirements on testing.
This year, you will also see many new faces around campus. I would like to personally welcome all of our new teaching staff, as well as Mr. Cale Vogel, who is replacing Mr. Eric Ranzen as MS/HS principal.
Along with the addition of this blog, you will begin seeing changes to the district website. I encourage you to explore the website and review the information we provide for your convenience.
To all of our staff, students, and parents, please accept this welcome to what I expect to be an exciting and promising school year. Make 2013/14 your best year yet!
