Students Participate in 2015 All Conference Trailways Art Show

On Thursday, April 30th, students traveled to Montello to participate in the All Conference Art Show. This is an excellent event in which students have the opportunity to view artwork created by other students in our conference, as well as compete for ribbons within their respective categories.

After enjoying refreshments and viewing the artwork, students had the opportunity to listen to guest speaker, Meghan Blake-Horst. Megan is a Madison based artist and founder of Absolutely Art, which is a community based gallery. Megan is also a co-founder and manager for MadCity Bazaar and works with Safe Communities to create artistic road crossing boxes around the city. Megan spoke to students about marketing and promoting the visual arts -- something that is absolutely essential in order for artists to make a profit using their talents.

Congratulations to the following students for their artistic achievements at this year’s art show.
