2015 Valedictorian/Salutatorian Announced

 Caitlin Purpi - Valedictorian


Johnson Creek High School is honored to recognize Caitlin Purpi as the Valedictorian of the graduating class of 2015. She is a strong leader who thrives on challenging herself, both academically and in leadership roles. Throughout high school, Caitlin has maintained the top GPA in her class while taking a rigorous schedule each year.  Her academic record includes four AP classes, a dual credit college course, and advanced courses in math and science. She is a focused, confident, and capable student who is a member of National Honor Society.  In addition to academics, Caitlin has made great contributions to Johnson Creek High School through her leadership positions in clubs and sports.  She has served as class president for all four years of high school which demonstrates the respect her peers have for her.  She is a natural leader who knows how to engage those around her as she is genuine, optimistic, and kind. Further she was captain of the Equestrian team and basketball team this year and a leader on a the track team. She has also been involved in high school band, playing the saxophone, for the past four years. She has been an active member of our school community for the past four year. She will be missed as she pursues a college education at the University of Iowa.

Taylor Emrath - Salutatorian

Johnson Creek High School is honored to recognize Taylor Emrath as the Salutatorian of the graduating class of 2015. She is an active member of both the school and community. Taylor has been highly successful in the classroom while taking a number of challenging courses during her high school career.  Her academic record includes four AP classes, and two advanced courses in the science field. Taylor’s track record in the classroom opened the door for her to be a valued member to the Johnson Creek National Honor Society.  In addition to academics, Taylor has made great contributions to Johnson Creek High School through her leadership positions in clubs and sports.  In addition to her successes in the classroom Taylor has been successful and visible with her participation in clubs and athletics.  Her club participation includes: class officer, student council, high school band, and FFA.  Taylor’s accomplishments continue into athletics as well where she was a four year participant in volleyball, basketball and softball.  Symbolizing her leadership can be seen in her being a captain in all three sports her senior year.  Next year Taylor will attend the University of Wisconsin-Stout to pursue a career in veterinary medicine.  Her athletic career will continue next year as she will be a part of the UW-Stout softball team.  Thank you for your four years of service to this school, we couldn’t be more proud of you.
