Johnson Creek Alumni Returns to Share Her Art/Experience

Visiting Artist, Olivia Heckel presented her artwork to the Johnson Creek Art Club. Olivia is a 2013 graduate of Johnson Creek and is a sophomore attending Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design (MIAD). She is majoring in Drawing with a minor in Interior Architecture and Design. Recently she has been working a lot with printmaking. Olivia is planning to take a couple of years after graduating college to work with underprivileged students, possibly in South America. Then she would like to pursue art as a career. Olivia shared with the group that in college project deadlines are final and firm. Many students have a difficult time adjusting to these rigid expectations and managing their time. Art students are required to put in many extra hours and it is much more time consuming than many people would guess. Olivia loves MIAD and the supportive, creative energy she is surrounded by.
