The Anthology is a collection of writings, cartoons and drawings created around a theme.  This

year’s theme was “Expressions”.  Thirty different schools, that are a part of the Whitewater

Talented and Gifted Network, each submit twenty-four pieces out of the hundreds in their

district, to be judged for inclusion into the Anthology.   The writings and drawings are judged on

clarity and relevance to the theme, creativity and originality, technical skill and presentation,

neatness, grammar and composition.  Although the judging was quite rigorous, Johnson Creek

Elementary had fifteen out of their twenty-four local selections make it through the process.

Those students that will have their work published in the Southern Lakes Anthology are

indicated with a star in front of their name. They will  be honored at a reception at UW-

Whitewater on May 20th.
