The Jay! Coming Soon!

THE JAY

One of our district goals is to better communicate some of the good things going on within our schools.  I have to say in the short time that I have been here, our students are doing some wonderful things inside and outside of the classroom.

In saying that, I want to take some time to give a shout out to English teacher Jason Siegler and his "JAY" staff.  The "JAY" is going to be a school newspaper that is sent out to the entire Johnson Creek Community.  It will be the state of the state of what is going on in the middle school and high school.  Mr. Siegler and his students have been working a ton of extra hours to complete the first issue.  Look for it by the end of October.

CAP and GOWN Community Service Announcement

I have heard so many parents asking, "What am I going to do with this graduation gown? We buy it for a one-time use."

RESOLUTION:  Mrs. Frank, the guidance counselor, is heading a community service group that would like to collect gowns from recent graduates to be reused in upcoming class graduations.

WHAT DO I NEED TO DO?:  All you need to do is simply drop off your graduates' gown in the MS/HS office and the committee will take care of the rest.  You don't even need to have it cleaned. The committee is working on a grant for this.

Please direct any questions to Merry Frank.
