United Cooperative Donates Money for Johnson Creek Athletic Fields

The Johnson Creek School District received another donation towards its new athletic fields.  United Cooperative pledged a $15,000 donation. The campaign aims to raise $2.5 million for a new football field and track, game field for baseball, game field for softball and practice fields.

“We are very thankful to have our area businesses like United Cooperative partner with us,” stated Cale Vogel, Johnson Creek MS/HS Principal and Athletic Director. “They see the positives of the new fields for the students and the community. Area officials expect more visitors to the community for tournaments and invitationals, which will make the sponsorship opportunities for the new facilities a good marketing option for area and surrounding businesses.”

United Cooperative, based in Beaver Dam, is a full-service cooperative offering feed, grain, agronomy, and energy products to Wisconsin farmers and consumers, with one of its several locations in Johnson Creek.  According to the company’s website, “United Cooperative strives to help create strong future leaders for rural America through its many scholarships and donations, with a focus on our youth and the programs that serve them.  This allows us to play a vital role in shaping a better tomorrow.”

The “One Team, One Dream” website, www.jconeteamonedream.com, outlines all of the different levels of support and also includes diagrams and renderings of the project and different ways individuals and businesses can help the capital campaign. Additional information is available on the campaign’s Facebook page and Twitter feed.
