9-12th grade assembly
MS/HS Student Councils
K-5th grade assembly
At the middle and high school assemblies topics ranged from personal choices that lead to success, integrity, character and intrinsic motivation. Students learned about how the path to success is not an easy one. It can be filled with adversity and negativity. Their challenge is when faced with adversity, find a way to overcome it.
Chris Lezpona, who has faced difficulties from a brain tumor spoke to the students about not giving up in theface of adversity and how he has handled the many ups/downs of life.

In the afternoon our HS/MS student council representatives learned about strategies to utilize with their peers to exhibit school pride and character.
One of our students commented on what he learned from the presentation, "Community pride starts with individual pride which will lead to school pride and then to community pride. It will take time, but it can be accomplished!
Everything is a choice, and it's yours to make."
We have plans for Chris to come back soon, so the HS/MS student councils can formulate their action plan to take to the rest of the student body!
Success is a Choice! Go Jays!
